Polybee Expands into ANZ with the Launch of an Australian Subsidiary

Feb 26, 2025

Polybee is delighted to announce the establishment of Polybee Australia Pty Ltd, marking a proud milestone in the company’s mission to transform global agriculture.

The new subsidiary is now officially operational and is co-located at La Trobe University's campus in Victoria—an innovation and agricultural hub. This expansion underscores Polybee’s commitment to supporting growers across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) by enhancing profitability through yield forecasting and autonomous pollination.

Over the years, Polybee has had the privilege of working with Hort Innovation, the grower-owned R&D organization, as well as leading growers such as Flavorite, Perfection Fresh, Sundrop Farms, Spirli Farms, Boratto Farms, and LeaderBrand. Through collaboration, the company has tackled challenges in crops like tomatoes, strawberries, spinach, broccoli, and lettuce—developing scalable solutions that empower growers with automation and intelligence.

By establishing this subsidiary, Polybee aims to:

  • Build a dedicated local team to support Australian growers and maximize the impact of the company’s proprietary technologies.
  • Strengthen partnerships and deliver solutions tailored to the region's unique needs.
  • Collaborate closely with growers and research institutions to co-invest in market expansion and R&D opportunities.

Polybee extends sincere gratitude to La Trobe University, whose team played a key role and accelerated the process in securing the office space. Their support goes beyond logistics—the two parties have agreed a collaboration for a research project that will drive new insights and innovations for Australian horticulture.

"The La Trobe Research and Innovation Precinct is excited to welcome Polybee as a new partner at our Melbourne Campus in Bundoora. The co-location highlights a shared commitment to drive innovation in agriculture - locally and globally. As part of La Trobe University's transformative University City, our vibrant Precinct connects partners with more than just cutting-edge facilities. We are pleased to support Polybee on their innovation journey, fostering a strong collaborative partnership and pioneering growth in the agricultural sector", said Dr. Megan Fisher, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Industry Engagement), La Trobe University.

Polybee also extends its appreciation to the Victorian Government, which played an instrumental role in guiding us through key processes and facilitating its establishment in Victoria. Mr. Danny Pearson, Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs, Victoria, said, "International companies like Polybee are choosing Victoria for their business because of our highly skilled workforce and strong research capabilities. Polybee's expansion into Victoria will support our local farmers, boost our agribusiness sector, and create quality jobs for Victorians."

This new chapter reaffirms Polybee's mission to empower farmers with smarter, scalable solutions that enhance productivity, improve forecasting, and promote sustainability in agriculture. Siddharth Jadhav, CEO at Polybee, remarks: "Our expansion into Australia is a testament to the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and openness embodied by Australian farmers, universities, and research institutions. We are thrilled to call Australia our second home and have exciting growth plans for our team in this market."
